Angela T. Carr is a poet, editor and creative writing facilitator. Her debut collection How to Lose Your Home & Save Your Life (Bradshaw Books, 2014), won the Cork Literary Review Poetry Manuscript Competition 2013. Poems from the collection have been broadcast on RTE’s Arena arts programme and displayed on the streets of Dublin in the Upstart General Election Poster Project (2011).

 

Winner of the iYeats International Poetry Competition 2019, and The Poetry Business 2018 Laureate’s Prize (judged by Dame Professor Carol Ann Duffy), her work has been placed or shortlisted in over 40 national and international literary competitions, including The Poetry Business International Book & Pamphlet Competition, The London Magazine Poetry Prize and The Patrick Kavanagh Poetry Award.

 

Her poetry is published in literary journals in Ireland, the UK and US, including The North, The Lonely Crowd, The London Magazine, Mslexia and Banshee.

 

Originally from Glasgow, she lives in Dublin.
