Ian Reid grew up in New Zealand and now lives in Perth. He is the author of 15 books across a range of genres including cultural history, literary theory, poetry and fiction. His most recent publication is a novel, The Madwoman’s Coat, which has just been longlisted for the ARA Historical Novel Prize. His work has been widely published in several countries, winning awards (e.g. the Antipodes prize) and being translated into five languages. He is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Humanities at the University of Western Australia.
