Vashti Farrer has worked as an advertising copywriter, research librarian, encyclopaedia researcher, book reviewer, film extra and freelance writer. She writes for children and adults and has had nearly a hundred short stories published and twenty-six children’s books, which range in topics from marauding possums to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the first Melbourne Cup.
Her non-fiction includes an article published in the Australian Financial Review on British Military executions in WWI – Shot at Dawn – in the public interest and a non-fiction book on the only woman ever executed in Queensland – Ellen Thomson – Beyond a Reasonable Doubt?
