Gary McCartney is a designer, artist and writer originally from Northern Ireland. His company, McCartney Design, has won several Australian and international design awards.

His poetry has been published in the Café Poets’ Anthologies, A Patch of Sun and The Comfort of Strangers, and his short stories have appeared in Overland, Aurealis, The Wine Dark Sea and the Big Ugly Review.
